To help people understand why The William Aldridge Foundation exists....
My son, Rifleman William Aldridge was K.I.A on 10th July 2009 and repatriated on 14th July, along with 7 comrades. Three of the young men were just 18 years old, (William the very youngest) All three served alongside each other with 2nd Battalion The Rifles.
This film footage was taken along the repatriation route by another Rifleman.
These young men along with every serving soldier give their all for our freedoms - many pay the ultimate sacrifice, often attempting to save their comrades - so many more suffer life-changing injuries in the line of duty and deserve not only our RESPECT but the same devotion they have shown us by caring for them & their families, NOW and into the future.
