BENEFICIARIES 12 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 12
As an organisation still in its' infancy, The William Aldridge Foundation has chosen, for the immediate future a few Charities to become the main beneficiaries of our independent fundraising efforts. In time, with the help of our kind supporters and the generosity of the general public, we hope to expand further the list of beneficiaries we are able to assist.

Due to the rising number of deaths and relatively unpublicised number of injured service personnel returning from Afghanistan (as well as previous conflicts) we have decided to direct our current support towards those suffering life-changing injuries and the ever increasing number of bereaved military families.

By the very nature of this current conflict in particular, we are seeing many more young men and women returning as amputees, blinded, scarred & psycholoically traumatised. Often requiring years of on-going treatment. Their families becoming their long-term carers.

We hope that with a combination of financial support, raising awareness and promoting availability of specific support we will be able to help give a little back to those who give everything in defence of our freedoms. We also endeavour to bring some small comfort to the families left behind by those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in seeking out and publicising the support available to them.
