Having added my signature to a petition asking the Prime Minister to stop the £24bn defence cut and give serving soldiers the much needed equipmnet they NEED, helping to stop the number of lives being lost in war zones (Primarily Afghanistan) - to stop sending young soldiers to their deaths due to underfunding and poor equipment!....

.... Here is the Goverments response to the petition:

    www.hmg.gov.uk/epetition-responses/petit...spx?epref=Helptroops

It would seem in response there is an admittance to a lack of funding/proper equipment since our troops were deployed in 2001, as extra funding was only made available in June 2010!! That new counter I.E.D strategies are only NOW being looked into!!!

What apology will the Government make I wonder, to the hundreds of families who lost loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan prior to June 2010, when better counter I.E.D measures were desperately needed then .... when more funding and better security for troops on the ground was being begged for?

    Have your say here......

Well we both know Lucy that the government will not apologise to you or any other families of fallen loved ones, they will never show face or be seen to admit mistakes. This government and previous ones are still stuck in the Victorian era, with a stiff upper lip and carry on regardless attitude... Sickening I know, its about time they showed some courage and compassion and sort this out now.

You have the love and support of people like me and many more as well, and we support you 100%.
